Growing in faith with Mary
By. Rev. Fr. Benjamin-Maria Igbinovia http://www.be909.wordpress.com

THROUGH THE ROSARY ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE !
Whenever Our Lady appears She always asked us to pray, pray, pray unceasingly- WHY? Because She want us to make everything in our lives a prayer! She ask us to pray the rosary and meditate on the mysteries -as it takes us into the heart of God and the new Testament.
Many have a rosary in their car,
many have a rosary in their home,
many have a rosary in their pocket,
many have a rosary in their bag, yet never pray it, some don`t even know how to pray the Rosary.
Remember, through the rosary Our Lady promise to bless us and shower us with graces, through the Rosary all things are possible, because She is the Mediatrix of all graces.
God Bless you.

THE THREE SURPRISES IN HEAVEN

Venerable Bishop Fulton J. Sheen tells us that we will have three surprises in Heaven.

The first surprise: We will be surprised to see that many people we expected to be in Heaven are not there. St. John of the Cross gives the reason why they are not there: “At the evening of our life, we shall be judged on how we have loved.”

The second surprise: We will be surprised to see that the people we never expected to be in Heaven are there. That is because God judges man’s intentions and rewards them accordingly.

The third surprise: We will be surprised to see that we are in Heaven! Since our getting to Heaven is principally God’s work, we should be surprised that God somehow “went out of His way” to save us, simply because we showed the good will and generosity to cooperate with His grace.
May your help be upon us O Lord, as we put all our hope in you. Amen
God bless you.
I will definitely not be surprised to see you in heaven because I know you will be there.

Final day of our Novena

NOVENA FOR THE SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
(AUGUST 6TH –14TH )

Good morning! Today is the Ninth day and final day of our Assumption of Mary Novena prayer. We are glad you can join us. Please visit our Blog. Also, please make sure to submit your prayer intentions today! We want to pray for and with you!

The Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary is celebrated every year on August 15th. This feast commemorates the death of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her assumption, body and soul, into Heaven. It is the most important Marian feast in the Church, and it is also a Holy Day of Obligation.

NINTH  DAY
1. In the name of the Father…
2. Invocation of the Holy Spirit, etc
3. THE HOLY ROSARY / LITANY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
4. FOR OUR HOLY FATHERS INTENTIONS
(Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be, etc.)
5. FOR THE INTENTIONS OF THE PARISH AND OF PARISHIONERS (Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be, etc.)
6. PRAYER FOR EACH DAY
1. PRAYER:
Lord Jesus Christ, You have destroyed the power of death and given the hope of eternal life for body and soul. You granted your Mother a special place in your glory, and did not allow decay to touch her body. As we rejoice in the Assumption of Mary, grant us renewed confidence in the victory of life over death.
Give me, O Jesus, a great devotion to your most Holy Mother. Help me to love her as you loved her, please her as you did and to honour her as I honour no other. Put into my heart an unwavering confidence in your Sweet Mother and mine, so that I may run to her when tempted or distressed. Amen.

2. NOVENA PRAYER:
Mary, Queen Assumed into Heaven, I rejoice that after years of heroic martyrdom on earth, you have at last been taken to the throne prepared for you in heaven by the Holy Trinity. Lift my heart with you in the glory of your Assumption above the dreadful such of sin and impurity. Teach me how small earth becomes when viewed from heaven. Make me realize that death is the triumph and gate through which I shall pass to your son, and that, someday, my body shall join my soul in the unending bliss in heaven. From this earth over which I tread as a pilgrim, I look to you for help. In honour of your Assumption into heaven, I ask for this favour (mention your request)

When my hour of death has come, lead me safely to the presence of Jesus to enjoy the vision of my God for all eternity together with you. Amen.
Our Lady Assumed into Heaven, Pray for us (3 Times)

3. MEDITATION
“Woman behold your Son” (Jn. 19:26)
O ever loving Virgin Mary, during his agony on the cross, your Divine son committed the whole human race to you. Help us, guide us in time of need and keep us always in your care until we are united with you and Jesus eternally in heaven. Amen. Our Lady Assumed into Heaven, Pray for us.

4. MEMORARE AND MAGNIFICANT
5. MARIAN SUNG
6. CONCLUDING PRAYER
O Mary, my dear Mother and Queen, take and receive my poor heart with all its freedom and desires, all its love and all virtues and grace with which it may be adorned. All I am, all I have and hold in order of nature as well as of grace, I have received from God through your loving intercession, my Lady and Queen. Into your sovereign hands I entrust all that it may be returned to its noble origin.
Mary, Queen of every heart, accept all that I am and bind me to you with the bonds of love that I may be yours forever, and may be able to say in all truth “I belong to Jesus through Mary”. My Mother assumed into heaven, I love you. Give me a greater love for Jesus and for you. Mary, Assumed into Heaven and Queen of the Universe, ever-Virgin Mother of God, obtain peace and salvation for us through your prayers, for you have given birth to Christ the Lord, the Saviour of mankind, Amen.

HOW A CHILD HAD BEEN CONDEMNED TO HELL FOR ONE MORTAL SIN

THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY REVEALS TO A GREAT SINNER HOW A CHILD HAD BEEN CONDEMNED TO HELL FOR ONE MORTAL SIN.

Once upon a time in Florence there lived a young girl, named Benedetta (the blessed), although she might better have been called Maladetta (the cursed), because of the evil life she was living.
One day she received the Grace of hearing St. Dominic preach and recieved confession and absolution from the saint and was directed by him to pray the Rosary daily.
The young girl was faithful for awhile praying the Rosary but later she stop and gave way to sin once again and back to her wicked life. The Blessed Virgin Mary, in order to confirm the young girl in her good life, one day showed hell to her, and some persons there who had been condemned on her account and bad habits.
Then opening a book, the young girl read in it the frightful record of all her sins. The young girl shuddered at the sight, but full of confidence, she had recourse to Mary, she started praying the Rosary daily asked her help, and learned that this divine mother had already obtained from God for her enough graces to atone for her numerous sins.
After the Vision, the Blessed Virgin Mary revealed many mercies and graces our Lord and our Lady have done for her through the daily Rosary and She also revealed to her that a child of only eight years of age, with one mortal sin only, had been condemned to hell.

Do not stop praying the Rosary daily, do not stop, Please! “The Rosary is a wonderful instrument for the destruction of sin, the recovery of God’s grace and the advance of His Glory.”
.. For the entrance to the Kingdom of Heaven will be opened and the door to hell will be closed to many young children if we pray the Rosary everyday.

God Bless you.

Be Inspired

A Protestant once approached St. John Vianney saying, ‘though we are not together on earth, we shall be together in heaven’. The saint looked into the man’s eyes and said gently: “As the tree leans, so the tree falls. If we do not live together on earth, we shall not live together in heaven. Death makes no change in that”. The Protestant upon hearing these gentle words of the saint considered them, renounced his error, and became a Catholic.
